Student Success Stories

Despite Kenya’s efforts to subsidize secondary education, public schools still demand many costs from students. These costs cause many youth to be kicked out of school until such fees are paid, so much so that less than half of students who begin primary school in Kenya actually complete high school. That is where the first part of Education Is Power comes in on removing financial barriers. However, removing financial barriers is not the only thing hindering a Kenyan youth’s success. Education Is Power understands that true success of students is holistic and bottom up. That is why EIP focuses on building a community of support around our students to achieve personal growth and fuel opportunities for advancement.
